Description Nowra car parking (Egans Lane, Lawrence Ave, Collins Way, Bridge Road, Lamonds Lane, 9 Haigh Avenue & 67 Kinghorne Street)
Strategy To provide car parking to meet future retail and commercial demand. Area 1 requires payment of contributions for car parking while Area 2 normally requires parking to be provided on the development site. However, Council will consider the payment of contributions in lieu of providing parking on site.

Nexus The project is critical for the coordinated approach to the supply of 900 car parking spaces in the central business district. Developments in the contribution area that cannot meet all of their parking requirements through on site provision will be required to make a monetary contribution to the Council. The contribution required will be the number of deficient spaces multiplied by the contribution rate. Funds collected will be applied to the provision of public parking.
